California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill into law Tuesday that would require presidential candidates to release several years of tax returns to be on the primary ballot in the state.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a bill into law that requires presidential candidates to submit tax returns to qualify for the primary ballots. The law is expected to be challenged in court.
